Preparation for our Dallas Active Learning Conference is in high gear. Our Echo360 team and customer speakers are working hard to get ready and fine-tune presentations to make this our best conference ever.

Of course, the best part about events like these is that it gives attendees a chance to connect with peers – academic and technology leaders from around the world – and learn about:

      • The latest innovations in classroom design and video technology
      • Tips & tricks for getting student engaged in class with active learning strategies
      • Best practices for managing video and lecture capture at scale
      • Using video and engagement data to improve student success

Here are a few spotlight sessions:

Student Behaviors During Class Predict Student Success

In this session, Dr. Perry Samson discusses how posing questions during class can lead to improved engagement and how the data collected from Echo360 provides the basis for predicting student outcomes on exams. Analyses show that in-class student behaviors were significantly related to exam scores whereas LMS data were not.

Solving Diverse Problems with Educational Technology: An Instructional Technology Panel

Instructional technologists from Emory University, Davidson College and Augusta University will share their best practices and lessons learned from implementing innovative solutions like scaled lecture capture, classroom engagement, and predictive analytics to solve complex problems. You’ll be able to talk to panel members directly and get answers to your most important questions.

Use of Echo360 Outside the Classroom Setting

Wake Forest School of Medicine has utilized Echo360 outside the traditional classroom setting to aid in the delivery of student services and clinical rounding. The presentation will discuss the needs at hand, solutions employed, user training, and user adoption.
